Travellers Be Warned: 53 Flights Have Been Diverted From DXB And 10 Emirates Flights Have Been Cancelled
A heavy fog descended on Dubai early on Saturday morning and has been sitting pretty over the city for over 24 hours.
This is not good news for travellers during the holiday period.
53 flights have been diverted from DXB (some to DWC) according to the National and in the interest of safety Emirates has been forced to cancel 10 flights.
The following flights have been cancelled
And all travellers are advised to check their flight status, some flights have been diverted from DXB to DWC so if you’re meeting someone at the airport, you’re advised to check their flight status too.
Emirates released the following statement
“Fog in Dubai on 24 December has caused the cancellation and delay of numerous Emirates flights arriving and departing at Dubai International Airport. Emirates urges customers to check their flight status and update their contact details in Manage a booking on emirates.com for the latest information regarding their flights.
Emirates apologises for the inconvenience caused. The safety of our passengers and crew is of utmost importance and will not be compromised.”

The fog is also affecting Abu Dhabi travellers
Etihad is keeping passengers in the loop
