Forever21 Will Remain Open In The UAE Despite Filing For Bankruptcy In The US

You may have heard all the talk about the brand most millennials grew up around, Forever 21, going bankrupt.

Media reports say that the clothing retail brand will close most of its international locations in Asia after filing for bankruptcy, while the UAE stores will remain open.

No one knows for sure how long the UAE branches will stay open, according to the brand itself when contacted by local media sources.

According to the branch’s website, the Forever 21 in Dubai Mall is under renovation.

The reason Forever 21 UAE branches are yet to shut down is because the Dubai-based Sharaf Group owns its franchise. So this local company has the right to use its name, sell the products and operate with support from the brand for an agreed amount of time.

No further details have been stated by the Sharaf Group on whether or not it intends to keep its franchise deals in the longer run.
