The Gulf Countries Are Meeting This Week To Discuss The Qatar Crisis And Have Tried To Come Up With A Resolution

The annual summit of the Gulf Cooperation Council will be held later this week (despite the Qatar crisis).

In fact, a small session was already held today morning to prepare for the main meeting

Officials from Saudi Arabia, UAE, Kuwait and Oman met with Qatari officials for the first time in a high-ranking official meeting ever since the boycott.

The Qatar crisis was not officially on the agenda and it is unlikely that a resolution will be made during the summit because Qatar has not yet responded to the demands of the boycotting countries, reports The National.

Qatar’s Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani will reportedly be attending the summit but it has still not be made clear who will represent Saudi Arabia, UAE and Bahrain.
