Traffic At The Guns N’ Roses Concert Last Night Was A Shambles And People Are Furious
Last night, Guns N’ Roses took the stage at the Autism Rocks Centre for the final performance of their ‘Not in this Lifetime’ tour and according to reports, the show was absolutely sensational… for those who made it.
Terrible traffic conditions started the concert off on a bad note as many ticket holders were unlucky enough to miss the beginning of the show. Things got worse at the end of the night; we spoke to one concert goer who said there were no cabs available and people were sleeping in the mall, he ended up paying an Uber AED500 for a journey from the Autism Rocks Arena to the Greens Area.
117 Live, the event promoters tweeted the following

And this is one unhappy customers response
that’s it? That’s your statement? Amateurish at best. Be honest, you were unprepared and the infrastructure cannot cope with 30000

Band member Axl Rose admitted to getting caught in the traffic…
Despite the venue opening at 4pm to allow for early access, transport to and from the venue still proved a huge issue, which was also probably down to the Pakistani Super Cricket League taking place in Sport City as well as the Guns N’ Roses performance.
People have taken to Twitter to express their disappointment
people need more than 140 characters to describe the nights events
The statement made be the promoters isn’t enough of an apology for some
People were reminded of the 2014 Sandance disaster, where traffic problems meant many people rang in the New Year while stuck in traffic
The road systems were a huge factor
it wasn’t notorious dubai traffic. It was your shambolic road system into and out of the venue that caused the chaos.

And the arranged buses would not suffice the huge crowd numbers
please comment on 30k trying to get home on only 12 buses. Hours after it ended the taxi queue was still hours long.

Those ‘with a plan’ managed to get home in good time
All in all however, it was one super show
