An Investigation Shows That A Fatal Gyrocopter Crash In Dubai Two Years Ago Was The Pilot’s Fault
Investigations show that a pilot killed by the gyrocopter crash during the World Air Games in Dubai failed to properly strap on his helmet before takeoff.
A report released by the General Civil Aviation Authority shows that this caused it to fall off during a high-speed turn which distracted his attention.
This caused him to lose control and crash into the water a little off Palm Jumeirah
The 49-year-old Dutch pilot was underwater for 10 minutes before divers found him.
