Heavy Fog And Poor Visibility Causes Fatal Crash In Ras Al Khaimah

The single car collision happened in the early hours of this morning due to thick fog.

The car was occupied by the driver and one passenger.

Poor visibility caused the driver to loose control of the car and hit a roundabout

The car hit the roundabout and overturned in the fog.

Ambulance and police attended the scene of the accident and both men were moved to hospital.

The driver of the car sustained some serious injuries and was later pronounced dead. 

The passenger of the car was treated for his injuries.

Ras Al Khaimah Police have confirmed that they are increasing their efforts to deal with emergency situations especially at the moment when weather conditions are not suitable.

They reminded drivers to reduce speed and pay close attention to the road when driving in unsuitable conditions.
