Huda Kattan Has Made A Statement Following Claims She Earns US$33,000 Per Instagram Post
Beauty mogul and personality, Huda Kattan has responded to a report claiming she earns AED121,000 (US$33,000) per commercial post on her Instagram account.
@HudaBeauty has garnered more than 26 million followers, and the report, which places her in the 20th position globally for earnings, doesn’t tell the full story.
The HopperHQ report, which places Kylie Jenner at number one, with a staggering US$1 million per post, claims Kattan is 20th overall, earning US$33,000 per post.
Last year, the same report caused upset, particularly with Kattan herself
And she released an emotive video series on her Instagram stories, explaining that she doesn’t accept sponsored Instagram posts on her page.
This year, Kattan released a statement to Lovin Dubai:
“I’ve always tried to keep my blog and social media completely unbiased and non-monetised. I’ve had some really insane offers for a single Instagram post – well into the six-figures! – but I turn them all down. It just isn’t my communication style and I don’t feel comfortable about it.
Kattan regularly shares make-up video tutorials and announcements of her own brand – Huda Beauty, but doesn’t post commercial posts, or plug other brands on her feed.
Kattan says: “For me, social media is and always will be purely a tool for me to share information, things that I love, and to connect with my followers. I always try to be as real as possible and pride myself in only supporting brands I love and truly believe in. Huda Beauty has also grown a lot in the last five years, and the majority of the opportunities that come through to me conflict with the growing business, so I simply decline them.”
