Pakistan’s Prime Minister Imran Khan visited the UAE this week.

He was welcomed in Dubai by HH Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai and received a welcome in Abu Dhabi by HH Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nayhan Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces.

Dubai’s ruler welcomed Imran Khan to the UAE, saying his visit shows the strength of the friendship between Pakistan and the UAE

This is Imran Khan’s second visit in two months

Pakistan and the UAE have strong ties based on cooperation and respect and this visit further proves the friendship.

According to Wam, Prime Minister Khan ’emphasised his country’s drive to develop and strengthen relations further with the UAE across multiple sectors’ while other reports also suggest Prime Minister Khan is seeking aid to help solve Pakistan’s struggling economic crisis.

Khan also visited the Abu Dhabi Grand Mosque

And Wednesday marked his first state visit to the UAE, on invitation from the UAE government.

His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, along with an entourage of ministers greeted the president when he arrived on a Presidential flight.

The meeting reinforces strong ties between the UAE and Pakistan

During the meeting they discussed developments bilateral ties and global issues, according to Wam.ae

“The UAE under the leadership President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan is determined to maintain robust ties with all its friendly countries on the basis of mutual respect, trust and common understanding of each other’s interests.”
