Islamophobia And Hate Crimes Against Muslims Have Declined In Europe And The United States To The Lowest Since 2016
Muslims have – on more occasions than once – been victims of hate crimes in the past few years (in countries where they are a minority).
But things are getting a little better, according to a recent report.
Islamophobia has seen a decline, especially in Western countries, during the third quarter of 2017
According to the Observatory of Islamophobia at the General Secretariat of the OIC (Organization Of Islamic Council), there was a decline in Islamophobia (compared to the last four years).
This is based on the number of news items recorded in the media related to the phenomenon
European countries and the United States saw a serious decline, especially compared with 2016 and early 2017, which were considered the two hot spots in terms of ongoing violations against Muslims.
The agency added that that those who spread discrimination, racism and hatred do not reflect the diversity of the population.
