Dubai College Student Has Been Deported Over Sex Out Of Wedlock
A Jordanian student attending college in Dubai, who had sex out of wedlock with her Emirati boyfriend will be deported.
The 18-year old and her 22-year-old Emirati boyfriend (now husband) were discovered by her father, the boyfriend was allegedly hiding under her cot, after her father arrived unannounced.
The pair appeared before the Dubai Appeals Court, asking for a pardon according to Gulf News.
The girl will not serve jail time
The courts were told that they were seeking their parent’s approval to marry at the time, and since the incident they have been married.
The woman’s lawyers asked for a pardon and the marriage contract was shown to the court.
The woman was handed a suspended sentence, but the Appeal Court has ordered her deportation.
