As The Lebanese Protests Gain Momentum PM Hariri Is Expected To Confirm A Reform Bill TODAY
The fourth day of protests were the biggest yet, as the public united in primarily peaceful protests to vent frustrations against proposed tax hikes and the coalition government took note.
According to Reuters, Prime Minister Saad al-Hariri tasked the opposition with agreeing on a set of reforms to ease the economic crisis on Thursday, the deadline is today and all eyes are now on the government for an announcement.
This has been the largest show of unity against the government in decades

If passed, the reforms could mean 50% reductions in government salaries
Hariri is leading a coalition government in an effort to unluck billions in donations which could help alleviate the crisis. The reforms would also bring a 50% reduction in salaries of top government and former ministers, and is looking for a contribution of over US $3billion from the Central Bank.
The last few days have seen a wave of people as hundreds of thousands of people hit the streets
