A Man Who Used A More Attractive Man’s Photo For A Popular Dating Site Profile Has Been Arrested

A man has been arrested after using another allegedly more handsome man’s photo for a popular dating website.

The Dubai Police Criminal Investigation Department arrested the man after the incident was reported by the man who’s photo was stolen. He reported the incident after friends told him his photo was in use on a popular dating site which lead to his fiancé breaking up their engagement, according to a report in the Khaleej Times.

He wanted to contact women  

 He confessed to the crime, telling police he wanted to contact women but didn’t want others to know he was using a dating site. He used the handsome photo to attract women but did not expect his actions to damage the other man’s life. 

The profile has been removed and the police are urging individuals to protects themselves from cyber-crime and ensure privacy settings are used online at all times.
