Massage cards are annoying and ridiculously wasteful and it looks like the penalty for distributing the cards will soon befit the crime…FINALLY!
No doubt residents will welcome this plan from Dubai Municipality, who are holding talks to hand out fines of up to AED 10,000 and immediate deportation for distributors, according to a report in the National.
‘Massage cards’, which show scantily clad women offering personal massage services, are the biggest users of traditional ‘advertising technique’ but cleaning services and takeaways advertise their service in this way too.

The proposed law covers a variety of flyering, including flyers and ads on residential buildings and cars from a variety of businesses.
The fine is now set at AED 500, so the jump to AED 10,000 will surely be substantial enough to deter further flyering.
