Maternity Leave For The Public Sector Has Been Increased To 3 Months
The UAE public sector has increased maternity leave to three months, previously it was 60 days. Private sector companies will also be encouraged to increase their maternity leave from the current 45 days full pay. The new measure was announced after the Gender Balance Council for the UAE me, the committee is chaired by Sheikha Manal bint Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum. The new law will take effect from the 1st of March 2017.
