There was much hype about The 1975’s performance in Dubai on Wednesday night.

But although the band are known for epic stage shows, the full-house of audience attendees were witness to an unexpected show, which one of the British four-piece band members, Matty Healy alluded to via a tweet.

Healy openly flouted UAE law by kissing a male member of the audience

A video which is being widely shared on social channels shows Healy leaving the stage during ‘Loving Someone’ and kissing a male fan.

Homosexuality is illegal in the UAE and can be punishable by a jail sentence.
