The Muslim Support For Khabib After Yesterday’s Controversial UFC Fight Is Huge
Yesterday was a huge day in UFC history.
Irishman Conor McGregor submitted to Russian Khabib Nurmagomedov after four intense rounds in Las Vegas, Nevada but it’s the pre and post match behaviour from both sides that’s causing the most controversy.
Khabib is the first Muslim to win a UFC title and he has received huge support online following the win

The fight sparked debate for McGregor’s behaviour pre-fight and Khabib’s after his win
Pre-fight the Irishman goaded Khabib, he questioned him about why he doesn’t drink and called his manager a terrorist.
Post match Khabib jumped the ring and rushed at McGregor’s team. Khabib has apologised for his behaviour, he says he wants to change the game, but ‘you cannot talk about a person’s religion or nation’.
“I want to change the game…. you cannot talk about religion.. I am sorry’
“Don’t mess with my religion, my country.”
