Two Men Died After A Mound Of Sand Collapsed On Them Today

Two men have died under a pile of sand that collapsed on them in Ras Al Khaimah on Monday. 

The men were reportedly digging a 20m-deep well in a residential zone when the mound of sand collapsed and killed them at around 10am this morning. 

Rescue teams rushed to the site, and extracted the bodies of the 25 and 28-year-old from the well. 

Investigations into the cause of the accident are underway.
