Noon ‘Employees’ Have Created A Website Called ‘Please Fire Me’ And It’s Kicking Off

Noon is the mega shopping website startup we’ve all been anticipating.

The company is backed by GCC investors and Emirati billionaire Mohamed Alabbar, the founder and Chairman of Emaar Properties

With an $1 billion investment, a takeover of two large regional websites, and big plans for a Saudi expansion, Noon could be the homegrown start up of the century.

But a recent online portal seemingly shows all is not well on the homefront, and employees may not be happy…

Social media went rife when alleged noon ’employees’ opened up a very controversial domain name

And yesterday, it was revealed the Head of People stepped down

The report states Joumana Hathouth stepped down for personal reasons ahead of an imminent site launch. This was followed by another main figurehead leaving the company; after noon’s former CEO Fodhil Benturquia stepped down in May and Namshi’s Co-Founder Faraz Khalid took up the CEO position.

In the report Ms. Hathouth praised her time at noon and the people she worked with.

The article was posted to Reddit, and people immediately made the connection to tnoonpleasefireme.com

While other’s reckon people resign everywhere…so this is no big deal

Either way, shoppers are waiting in suspense for the promise of 20 million products but meanwhile the noon homepage still remains blank
