An Officer Was Bribed AED15,000 To Smuggle A Wanted Man Out Of The UAE

An Emirati man was charged at the Dubai court for attempting to bribe an officer with AED15,000 at the Hatta border. 

The 50-year-old Emirati was trying to sneak an Indian wanted man out of the country without stamping his passport at the border through seeking the help of the border officers.

Wanted for financial connections

The Indian man is wanted for his financial connections to several cases in Dubai and is wanted on charges of absentia and another bribery crime in the UAE. 

While the Emirati man tried to offer the officer a huge sum of money, the officer declined the money and reported the man for trying to sneak the man out of the country illegally.

Both the Emirati man and the Indian man were seized at the border
