The UAE Is Getting Its First Ever Outdoor Ice Rink But It’s Not Open To Everyone
An ice rink is probably the one tourist attraction that Dubai was lacking, but alas no more friends.
A school in Barsha, in collaboration with Desert Snow, the region’s pioneering and leading specialist winter effects company, and exclusive Middle East partner Glice, the market leader for ecological rinks is introducing the UAE’s first outdoor skating rink.
The 200 metre squared rink is located at the Next Generation School. The rink is made without water or electricity and therefore allows the children to try an activity that’s truly unique to the region, in an ecologically sound way.
The rink is built for private use
Unfortunately this rink is built for private use for the lucky students at the school who can avail of private coaching from Tassilo Schwartz, a professional ice hockey player from Switzerland.
