Uh-Oh: You’re Now Going To Have To Pay For Parking In JLT

All good things come to an end…and this is the proof.

You will now have to pay for parking in Jumeirah Lake Towers.

The Roads and Transport Authority (RTA),  the free-zone authority, the Dubai Multi Commodities Centre and DMCC signed an agreement to that effect on Monday.

It will be rolled out in stages and paid slots will cost you AED4 an hour.

At least payment is easy

You can pay via the RTA app (the useful app is really worth a download), by text message and through services in the area.

It was going to happen eventually

The first stage (1936 slots) will become paid this year.

Paid parking between Saturday and Thursday 8am and 10pm and it costs AED4 an hour.
