Pakistan Social Media Celebrity ‘Killed By Brother’ In Honor Killing
Qandeel Baloch (also known as Queen Baloch), the 25 year old social media celebrity in Pakistan, known for posting controversial photos on her social profiles, was murdered by her brother. A recent picture Queen Baloch posting with Muslim Cleric Mufti Qavi. Honor killings are not uncommon in Pakistani culture when shame is brought on the family. The public nature of this killing has sparked outcry on social media. Baloch shot to fame in Pakistan in 2014 after a video of her pouting at the camera and asking “How em looking?” went viral.
