Let’s do our very best to ignore the fact that we all have work in the morning and take a quick look back at last night.
People flew in from all over the world to spend the night in Dubai, and let’s face it: the city was popping. Fireworks lit the night sky from Sharjah to the Palm and music blared from apartments, hotels and restaurants, to beaches where people set up camp to watch the fireworks by the sea.
The hashtag #mydubainewyear was trending on Instagram, here is what the city got up to:
1. A picnic in the park was a casual way to spend the evening
2. Dubai TV were broadcasting from the bottom of the Burj Khalifa all night
3. Dubai Ambulance and it’s servicemen were out in force
4. A masked gala was on the cards for some
5. Everyone was in high spirits waiting for the fireworks to start
