Status: Landed! HH Mohamed Bin Zayed Warmly Welcomes Pope Francis To The UAE
Over the next three days, the UAE will send a message of tolerance to the rest of the world.
After Pope Francis, the head of the Catholic Church touched down in Abu Dhabi on Sunday and was greeted warmly by HH Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed bin Sultan Al-Nahyan, the Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces.
On the invite of Abu Dhabi’s Crown Prince, the Pontiff will attend an inter-religious faith meeting and host a public mass to over 135k people.

Dr Ahmad Al Tayyeb Grand Imam of Al Azhar Al Sharif was also welcomed by the Abu Dhabi ruling family earlier in the day
HH Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai said the ‘visit will deepen the values of tolerance, understanding and interfaith dialogue.’
