The Power At Mall Of The Emirates Went Out On Thursday And Shoppers Were Asked To Evacuate The Mall

Temporary power outage at Dubai’s second largest mall, Mall of the Emirates, plunged the shopping centre into darkness for 20 minutes on Thursday night.

Shoppers were immediately asked to leave the mall as soon as the lights went off.

It’s been reported that sirens went off after the outage and a loud-speaker asked mall-goers to evacuate the building.

“A temporary power shutdown… due to a technical issue,” was stated as the reason by the authorities

“The matter was immediately resolved and it is now business as usual at the mall.”

“Precautionary measures were taken to ensure the safety of visitors and tenants, and to minimise disruption during this period,” a spokesperson said.
