Dubai – although the streets aren’t paved with gold like some people assume, most will agree how exceptionally spick and span the streets are.

And it seems like Dubai Municipality are dead set on keeping it that way. According to the Dubai Municipality Facebook page, The Waste Management Department have installed 700 ‘awareness’ plates in a variety of languages to ‘reduce the practices and behaviors distorting the cultural and aesthetic appearance of the emirate in public places.’

If you take take a quick look at the image below, the new signs clearly show urinating is prohibited on the streets of Dubai.

The move is part of an ongoing effort to keep Dubai clean

There are several fines already in place for littering or throwing gum and cigarette butts.

In this case, offenders caught urinating in public will face an AED 500 fine, if it’s your second offence you will face a fine of AED 1,000.

Just don’t do it peeps!
