Ramadan In Dubai Will Be Even More Open And Inclusive To Other Cultures This Year

2019 is the Year Of Tolerance and as Ramadan draws near, the opportunity to spread a further message of tolerance is clear.

And for the first time ever, the Department of Islamic Affairs and Charitable Activities in Dubai (IACAD) has launched ‘Ramadan Dubai’, an initiative that will see activities throughout the Holy Month under the theme of ‘compassion and coexistence.’

The events will be inclusive of all nationalities and religions, while promoting Ramadan traditions.

You’ll learn how Holy Month rituals are practiced across the globe

Shining a light on how Muslims in different countries celebrate the religious holiday.

Initiatives will include, ‘Raahid bin Mohammed Ramadan Forum, Ramadan Dubai Majlis, Spirituality of Ramadan, Iftar dialougue, Ramadan Nights and Squares, The World in Ramadan, the United Emirati House, The Good Pathways, Journey of Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) and importance of names of Allah’ according to the report.

You will be able to visit Ramadan tents for ‘iftar dialogue’, an educational programme to spread the message of Islam among community members, plus Ramadan Nights and Squares will be held across malls featuring art and writing of Quranic text, calligraphy, painting workshop, exhibitions and more.
