A Woman Who Claimed She Was Raped By 12 Men Has Been Imprisoned For Three Months

A woman who went to the police station claimed she was raped has been jailed and will be deported.

The woman was found to have lied about the rape and been working as a prostitute.

The 29-year-old Pakistani national went to the police station, and told officers she had been raped in her flat at International City, but as police investigated, the story came out that she was working as a prostitute and the men had failed to pay her – so she lodged the complaint to implicate them.

A police sergeant told Khaleej Times: “She eventually confessed she made the story up to avoid being held legally accountable for working in prostitution.”

The sergeant added: “She further confessed that her boss, who exploited her, dropped her at a flat on the day she filed the complaint. She had sex with one Pakistani man and with his two friends for AED600.”

Three men were also arrested in relation to soliciting prostitution from the woman.
