The Dubai Land Department and Real Estate Regulatory Agency publishes an annual rental index and this week saw the 2017 release.
All areas of Dubai and all property types are taken into account and you can use the calculator to calculate the average price of rent based on area.
Note: the calculator does not force landlords to change rent prices, it merely regulates the current market.
Popular area breakdown for a one bedroom apartment
Based on a current AED80,000 rental
Deira – approximately AED40,000 to AED45,000 (Abu Hall building)
JLT – approximately AED65,000 to AED95,000 per year
Marina – approximately AED70,000 to AED110,000 per year
Sports City – approximately AED70,000 to AED110,000 per year
