A Popular Product Has Been Removed From Supermarket Shelves Due To Salmonella Contamination
An infant milk product has been withdrawn from shelves across the UAE.
A list of French made infant milk products (Lactalis Craon Factory) was published by Wam.ae, a government news source; the list contains the name, batch number, expiry date and size of products that have been withdrawn due to salmonella contamination.
The Abu Dhabi Food Control Authority and the municipalities of Dubai, Sharjah, Ajman, Umm Al Quwain, Ras Al Khaimah and Fujairah made the decision to remove the products following findings issues by the French Directorate General of Health.
Salmonella is a harmful bacteria which can lead to infection and serious diseases.

All above products have been removed from shelves across the UAE
The decision comes after twenty babies under the age of six months were contaminated with the bacteria. The products had reached 30 countries, including the UAE.
Consumers are advised to dispose of any of the above products.
The Ministry of Climate Change and Environment emphasized all products that enter the UAE are carefully monitored by the relevant authorities.
