The Arab League Has Condemned The Drone Attacks On The Saudi Oil Site

An Aramco oil site in Saudi was attacked on Saturday and has resulted in a drop in oil prices, it might take weeks for the site to resume working at full capacity.

Fires at two facilities are now under control, according to Saudi media, however, the explosions halved Saudi output and reduced global production by 5%. The Arab League have condemned the attacks,

Houthis rebels in Yemen claimed responsibility after a representative stated Houthis fired 10 drones in a strategic attack, however alternative reports suggest there is no evidence to support such claims.

The Saudi Press Agency confirmed there were no injuries

 

The Saudi Minister of Energy confirmed this will have a knock-on effect on stocks

The US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo claims there is no evidence these attacks came from Yemen

The US has asked all nations to condemn the attacks

The Arab League have dubbed the attacks “serious escalations”, and it underscored ‘its full solidarity and support to the Kingdom in all measures taken to protect its facilities against all aggressions targeting its national interests.’

Following the attack, residents are evacuating the city.
