A Scammer Is Posing As The Casting Director For Game Of Thrones And Spamming Residents

Some UAE residents have been receiving shady WhatsApp messages from a foreign number, asking if they’d like to be part of a casting call for a Game of Thrones season 8. 

The number signs off as Nina Gold – the casting director of Game of Thrones and the latest Star Wars episode – The Force Awakens, with a photo of Gold as the profile picture. 

The number also asks the person to send pictures. 

However there’s no indication this is real, and many residents have confirmed they received the messages.

Which is DEFINITELY not the typical way to issue a casting call.
