HH Sheikh Mohammed Has Announced A Shock Change To Dubai World Cup Traditions

A change to the Dubai World Cup winnings has been announced.

HH Sheikh Mohammad Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, announced the prize of the main race will increase from AED36million to a whopping AED44million.

Which brings the total prize value up to AED129million.

The Dubai World Cup is the world’s richest horse race

The annual event has been hosted at Meydan Racecourse since 1996 and this is the first time the price of the winnings has changed.
