HH Sheikh Mohammed Generously Orders A Further 300 Tons Of Aid As Rohingya Refugee Situation Reaches Breaking Point
Nearly 500,000 refugees have fled violence in Myanmar to nearby Bangladesh in the last month alone.
And as the figure grows, HH Sheikh Mohammed Vice President of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai has taken action by ordering the airlift of an additional 300 tons to reach the Rohingya refugees which will arrive in three separate containers.
The aid includes essentials: tarpaulins, jerry cans, mosquito nets, sleeping mats, buckets, blankets and kitchen sets.
The massive influx has taken place in the last month alone and the situation has reached breaking point as refugees have been forced to make shelter on tiny spaces of land as there are no resources to cope with the number of people, according to wam.ae.
