Yesterday afternoon, Sheikh Mohammed, Vice President of the UAE and leader of Dubai made a special effort to visit the office of the event securing committee and thank everyone involved for ensuring Dubai was a safe place to be this New Year’s Eve.

Over 500,000 people were on the streets celebrating in Dubai on the 31st
Managing crowds and keeping the peace isn’t an easy job, and it’s not a job that can be ignored either. A peaceful night like last night is furthur proof to the world that Dubai is a ‘safe, stable and successful international destination’. Over 750 service patrol cars and countless service men were on the streets to ensure the safety of the public.
