His modern views welcomed all expats to live and worship in the UAE allowing for an open, inclusive environment which welcomes all nationalities to co-exist

In 1966, Sheikh Zayed generously donated land for an Anglican church in Abu Dhabi. It stands today, next to a Mosque and a Catholic Church… this is one small example of his unrestricted acceptance and respect of other cultures and faiths to worship and settle here.

………. In 1966, Sheikh Zayed generously gifted land for an Anglican church in Abu Dhabi. Today, the church stands side-by-side with a mosque and a Catholic cathedral. In Dubai, the Emirate’s Grand Mosque is located next door to a Hindu temple. The UAE’s wholehearted acceptance of other faiths reflects the founding father’s tireless commitment to the values of tolerance and respect, which laid the foundations for the inclusive and welcoming society we live in today.
