Giant Red Lines Have Appeared On The Sheikh Zayed Road Near The Marina

Road users may have noticed prominent red lines appearing on the Sheikh Zayed Road over the last number of days.

The lines are visible in the Marina area, and judging from the clear ‘100’ marked in circles, they signify the reduced speed limit on the Sheikh Zayed Road.

One Instagram user snapped the new markings

All new road safety regulations are put in place to ‘further protect the lives of road users and reduce traffic casualties from about 6 per 100,000 people to 3 per 100,000 as per Vision 2021’ according to government.ae.
