The Legendary Comic Writer Stan Lee Has Died
Today the world mourns Stan Lee.
The legendary comic book writer who helmed Marvel Comics and the creative behind titles including Avengers, The Fantastic Four, Spider-man, The Incredible Hulk and characters including Silver Surfer, the X-Men, Iron Man and Doctor Strange.
Lee died at the age of 95 on November 12 while under medical care in Cedars Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles.

#Excelsior! began trending soon after his death. His life motto, “Excelsior!” is a Latin word which translates to ‘ever upward’.
