Facebook Creative Chief Mark D’Arcy Responds To Data Crisis In Dubai

With talks from industry heavies across various sectors, ears were pricking when Facebook’s global marketing chief took the the stage.

The social media and networking group has been in the press over the Cambridge Analytica scandal, after Cambridge Analytica, a British political consulting firm hit the press for acquiring user information of 50 million Facebook users and breaching Facebook’s terms of service, Facebook did little to penalise the company at the time.

In the short footage Facebook Creative Officer D’Arcy admits mistakes and states the entire company is focused on protecting the data of those using Facebook services. Facebook takes ‘absolute ownership and responsibility’ and the ‘seriousness of the event cannot be overstated’.
