Liverpool Legend Steven Gerrard Wowed Fans At MOE This Week
Steven Gerrard was in Dubai this week to do a meet and greet with fans at the adidas store in Mall of the Emirates.
The midfielder has recently been appointed Liverpool FC Academy coach, and spoke to young players, signed autographs and took photos with them.
Hundreds of eager fans queued outside the adidas store to meet the champion who played 17 seasons with Liverpool.
Gerrard spoke highly of Dubai, and the growing football culture here
“I love Dubai, it’s one of my favourite destinations. Every time I come here I always bump into Liverpool fans, so it’s been great to spend some time with them today. I think the region overall is doing a great job in growing football and I will give the same message I give to kids all over the world – just keep practicing and work as hard as you can, because you get out of this game what you put in.”

The 36-year-old also discussed the upcoming 2022 FIFA World Cup hosted in Qatar
“I’ve got every confidence that Qatar will put on a great event, you can feel the passion and excitement every time you come to the region. Everyone is football crazy. Good luck to them and I hope they put a good show on.”
