The UK could be the next to ban electronic devices from UAE planes, according to reports.

Just hours after the United States regulations were confirmed, reports are surfacing that the UK will also be placing the restrictions on passengers traveling from eight Middle Eastern countries – including the UAE.

Sky News and The Telegraph have reported the UK will be implementing the same rules for flights

The restrictions affect 10 airports in eight countries including AUH and DXB, as well as Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Jordan, Morocco, and more.

Earlier today, Emirates confirmed the TSA has imposed rules that no devices larger than mobile phones can be taken into plane cabins

Any flights traveling from the UAE to the US will require passengers to check tablets and laptops in with baggage.

Airlines have been given 10 days to conform.
