The Heaviest Woman In The World From Egypt Lost 318kg And Is Now Moving To The UAE
Eman Abd El Aty, originally from Egypt, made global news headlines for weighing 500kg and being the world’s heaviest woman. She has since been treated in Mumbai’s Saifee hospital and has lost a reported 318kg, and now weighs 172kg. Eman suffered a stroke at the age of 11 and was unable to leave her home in Alexandria for 25 years.
A row between her family and the hospital in Mumbai, where the family says Eman has not lost as much weight as the hospital are claiming and she is still unable to speak or move. She will now leave the hospital and continue bariatric surgery in Abu Dhabi.

Despite the row, The Saifee Hospital are proud of that they achieved, stating: “..She came on a chartered cargo plane and goes back as a passenger on a flight in business class”.
