The Tourist Visa Law Changes Start From Sunday: Here’s What You Need To Know
New laws regarding tourist visas in the UAE come into effect next Sunday.
Tourists will have the option to extend their visa for a maximum of 60 days WITHOUT leaving the country.
Previously, tourists had to leave the country and return if they wanted to extend their stay.
It will cost AED600 per additional 30 days that the person wishes to stay and tourists can only avail of this twice offer before they are required to leave the country, or face fines.
New rules for widows and divorcees
Widows and divorcees have been granted permission to extend their residency for one year from the date of death or divorce.
It will cost AED100 to cancel the previous visa and a further AED100 to extend their visa.
