Trump Caught On Tape At Lavish New Year’s Party Praising Dubai Businessman
The US President Elect’s New Year’s speech is making global news because he lavished praise on Hussain Sajwani, his Dubai business partner. This is noteworthy because for weeks lawyers and ethics experts in the US have been calling on Trump to separate his personal business from his Presidency. The comments made at Trump’s exclusive resort indicate it is increasingly unlikely he will fully separate his business from his new job.
DAMAC Properties, Sajwani’s company, has built the Trump International Course Dubai. They are currently working on a second course, designed by Tiger Woods, which is set to open in 2018.
“Hussain and the whole family, the most beautiful people, are here from Dubai tonight. And they’re seeing it and they’re loving it,” Trump said, referring to the ornate Grand Ballroom that he built at Mar-a-Lago.
