Trump Says He Turned Down A $2b Property Deal In Dubai
The President-Elect of the United States who will be inaugurated in Washington this month held a press conference last night. His relationship was Russia was much discussed as were reports on the subject by US media. Trumps business dealings also came up as there are doubts that he will be able to separate his new position with his business empire. Last month Hussain Sajwani of Damac properties said he would like to continue business dealings with Donald Trump however it seems that his offers were turned down.
‘I was offered $2 billion to do a deal in Dubai, a number of deals. And I turned it down.’
“Now, I have to say one other thing. Over the weekend, I was offered $2 billion to do a deal in Dubai with a very, very, very amazing man, a great, great developer from the Middle East, Hussain Damac, a friend of mine, great guy. I was offered $2 billion to do a deal in Dubai, a number of deals. And I turned it down. I didn’t have to turn it down, because as you know, I have a no-conflict situation because I’m president, which is — I didn’t know about that until about three months ago, but it’s a nice thing to have. But I don’t want to take advantage of something.”
Donald Trump
“Hussain Damac, a friend of mine’ – it’s Hussain Sajwani, not Damac
#Trump got CEO of Damac Properties’ name wrong after saying Damac just offered him a $2billion deal. It’s Hussain Sajwani, not Hussain Damac
