The UAE, along with The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, the United Kingdom and the United States of America have expressed concern over escalating tensions in the region.
According to Wam.ae, the UAE Government news agency, the four countries are concerned over the dangers posted by Iran’s destabilising activity to peace and security both in Yemen and the broader region, including attacks on tankers in Fujairah and in the Gulf of Oman which threatened international waterways each country relies on for shipping
The four countries have issued a statement in the hopes of finding a diplomatic solution to de-escalate tensions.

The statement also referred to the de-escalation in Houthi attacks on Saudi Arabia using Iranian made and facilitated missiles and Unmanned Aerial Vehicles, attacks which are condemned by the quartet.
Furthermore, according to the report, the World Food Programme has halted delivered in Sana’a, the capital of Yemen, due to Houthi interference, the quartet has requested Houthis to allow the delivery of life-assistance in this time of crisis.
The quad is calling on the UN and Iran for the implementation of a diplomatic peace process, which will hopefully lead to the end of the conflict in Yemen according to Wam.ae.
