The UAE Have Dropped The Charges Against This British-Australian Expat

You may remember last month, we reported that an Australian-British expat living in Dubai was arrested for sharing a Facebook post which was aimed at receiving charitable donations.

In a recent update, according to advocate group Detained in Dubai, who assisted in the defence, the UAE have dropped the charges against Richards.

48 year old Scott Richards was arrested in his home, on the 28th of July, where he lives with his wife and children. According to UAE law, it is forbidden to promote and encourage people to donate to a charity that is not registered in the country.
