The UAE Has Joined The International Coalition To Protect Maritime Areas In The Region

The UAE is joining the International Maritime Security Construct, that is US-led, to protect the safety of maritime navigation and international trade, reports WAM.

The UAE wants to deter threats to maritime navigation and global trade, and make sure that energy supplies are being secured so as the global economy stays well-maintained for a more balanced peace and security worldwide, Salem Mohammed Al Zaabi, Director of the International Security Cooperation Department at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation stated.

This alliance will protect its members security

…in terms of its members and their merchant ships when passing through the maritime passes.

These locations are in the Strait of Hormuz, Bab Al Mandab, the Sea of Oman and the Arabian Gulf.
