The UAE Has Started A Three Day Period Of National Mourning
This morning it was announced the mother of HH Sheikh Khalifa, Her Highness Sheikha Hessa bint Mohammed Al Nayhan passed away.
The first wife of HH Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan died on Sunday and the Ministry of Presidential Affairs has announced a state of mourning for three days, which begins today.

What happens during a national mourning period
Following recent periods of mourning; all UAE ministries, government departments and institutions will fly the UAE flag at half mast. Public, private sectors and schools remain open during this time.
