11 Phone Scammers Have Been Jailed After Sending Fraudulent Messages To Residents
The UAE police have arrested 11 people in relation to phone scams, all across the UAE.
The Abu Dhabi-Dubai task force tracked down the scammers – who were sending UAE residents false messages about winning cash prizes, and asking for bank details to transfer the winnings.
According to Khaleej Times, the gang was found with evidence including credit cards, banknotes, cheque books, SIM cards and money – it was all confiscated.
